Michael Brian Lee is a rare commodity – a working creative professional who is also trained and skilled in facilitating creativity and innovation breakthroughs for leaders, entrepreneurs, and teams. He is a transformational trainer, teacher, speaker, writer, and coach, and a world-recognized expert in the mindset of creativity and innovation.
He is internationally certified as a Master of Creativity and Innovation Coaching and Master NLP practitioner, as well as as an Executive Coach and six other coaching disciplines. He is also certified as an Adaptability Quotient Assessment (AQai) Professional Practitioner.
He is a dual citizen of South Africa and the United States and has years of experience in the film, TV, and literature industries in both countries as well as in Europe.
He has over two decades of experience in the film and TV industry as a writer, producer, director, and script editor, across the US, Europe, and Africa and his TV productions have earned him 5 South African Film & TV Awards (SAFTAs). He was also a founding editor of the renowned international literary magazine Trafika, and has helped several authors write their books.
As the founder of the Innotivity Institute, he is the creator of the Innotivity™ modality, based on the philosophy that the most important Innovation you will ever make is to innovate yourself, and that the best way to free a team to innovate is to begin with shifting the minds of every team member, then building a unique team approach.
He also founded the Academy of Television and Screen Arts in Johannesburg, demonstrating his commitment to fostering creative excellence.
He currently serves as an Advisory Board member of the World Creativity and Innovation Week, a member of the Creative Council of Practice of the BIC Foundation, a Senior Adviser to the African Academy of Artificial Intelligence, and Global Advisor for the Silicon Valley company Innovation Minds.
He has taken the TEDx stage twice, delivering impactful speeches that have reshaped the perspectives of his audiences. His keynotes and workshops are widely recognized for dismantling barriers and empowering individuals to effectively change their mindsets and achieve their goals.
